                      Changing the Story

I believe that everyone has their own unique story that is rooted in and intertwined with a bigger picture; family, culture, the wider world, etc. Challenges can therefore arise in many ways and manifest in multiple forms throughout life. As an integrative counsellor, I work alongside clients, focusing on their needs and adapting therapeutic methods and techniques, to their distinctive story. I do this through a holistic approach, honouring the fact that as human beings our bodies, emotions, thoughts and responses are all deeply interlinked, which neuroscience is increasingly revealing.

I also believe that compassionate, non-judgemental relationship is central to therapeutic work, cultivating an acceptance that supports one to embrace themselves and their life journey with kindness. This in turn supports greater connection with oneself, others and the wider word. Whilst we cannot always change our circumstances, I believe we can, through compassion, transform our relationship with ourselves and our circumstances.
